Starting a new chapter
As a primary school teacher, I really treasured my holidays and many happy times were spent in the North Devon area. When Gable Lodge came on the market I had viewed it and had my offer accepted within a week - it was just too good an opportunity to miss. I retired from a 25 year vocation and headed west with my partner, Ian, who runs a computing business.
I completed a thoroughly enjoyable first season with the help, support and services of so many generous local people and I am full of enthusiasm for the seasons ahead.
Gable Lodge had a happy, homely feel to it the moment we stepped over the threshold. It is well-loved by our guests, many of whom return again and again. We look forward to sharing our home with you and hope that your stay will be full of happy memories and wonderful new experiences.
